If losing pounds is on your mind, counting calories and keeping a food journal are great ways to stay on track and see results. In order to figure out how much you’re eating, it helps to measure your food rather than eyeball amounts. I know it take time and everyone is always rushing to get stuff done, so you may be saying right now, yeah right, like I have time for that. I guarantee it will take a couple of time before it becomes a habit.
When starting a diet, measuring food is an important part of learning about correct serving sizes. A food scale will show you that the portion you thought was four ounces may actually weigh eight ounces. That’s the kind of mistake that could derail your diet.
Starting a diet often has a learning curve, especially when it comes to counting calories and measuring portion size.
Measuring your portions at home will help you to get a better idea of how much you eat when eating out…
I personally eat out mostly during the weekends and if the portions are humongous (most of the time) , I just take to go half of it and eat it 3 or 4 hours later. ..sometimes, it even tastes better.!!!
